Event Introduction :
The “2014 EU-TW Food Safety Seminar” has been arranged to examine the international trend towards a horizontal regulatory framework for food safety and to establish an effective post-market surveillance mechanism. The seminar’s organisers have invited European Commission authorities, EU member state experts, TFDA authorities, and European and Taiwanese representatives of industry and academia to attend. Among other subjects, the seminar will introduce: European countries’ regulatory practices on market surveillance, labelling, and consumer protection; food safety crisis management communication in the EU; and international food safety and related standards (Codex Alimentarius) and best practices. Through in-depth discussion among industry, government, and academic representatives, the seminar aims to facilitate the harmonization of Taiwan’s regulatory standards with international standards and practices, share best practices on enforcing standards among all stakeholders and thus ensure the safety and protection of consumers.

活動簡介:
為探討國際食品安全管理趨勢,及建立有效的後市場監督機制,特舉辦「2014台歐食品安全管理國際研討會」,邀請歐盟執委會官員、歐盟會員國專家代表、衛生福利部食品藥物管理署官員與台歐產業學界代表,介紹各國對於市場監督、產品標示、消費者保護的監管措施,以及歐洲當局處理食安危機時的溝通機制,進一步鼓勵我國相關機構團體依循國際標準(食品法典)與其最佳案例。期盼透過產官學全盤而深度的交流討論,裨益我國法規標準進一步與國際調和,促進國內食品產業升級並保障消費者福祉。
